Gadis Ni Miliki Nama Paling Pendek. Satu Huruf Je

Kalau zaman sekarang ibu bapa berlumba nak letak nama anak panjang-panjang, tapi berlainan pula dengan pasangan ibu bapa di Yogjakarta ni.

Pelajar berusia 16 tahun ni miliki nama paling pendek apabila ibu bapanya memberikannya nama 'N' sahaja.

Buruh Haram:Rakyat Malaysia Tagih Bantuan Di Korea Selatan..

Pink Power Protein Beet Smoothie | Boost your morning with this pretty and healthy Pink Power Protein Beet Smoothie - this easy beet smoothie is full of color and nutritious goodness! | A Sweet Pea Chef | Sponsored by Whole Foods Market 365

Since we started running our breakfast challenge every October and January, I’ve tested and discovered so many yummy healthy protein smoothie recipes.

While they’re all super tasty, some of them are huge hits during the challenge, which makes me think they should go on the blog so I can share them with everyone.  In fact, that’s how my Kiwi and Kale Smoothie was shared on the blog and why, today, I’m sharing this Pink Power Protein Beet Smoothie.

Fact: Lots of fun protein smoothies in your recipe box is always a good thing.

Another Fact: I bought ALL the ingredients for the 7 recipes in this challenge for less than $50 at Whole Foods Market 365.  If you’re near one, I highly recommend checking it out for great produce and healthy ingredients at lower prices!

The ingredients required to make a pink power protein beet smoothie, including a raw beet, almond milk, frozen strawberries, banana, flaxseed meal, and raw honey. Blender with frozen strawberries, flaxseed meal, almond milk, beet, and raw honey, about to be blended and made into pink power protein beet smoothie.

Plus I just like the name.

There’s something about making a “power” smoothie that gets me all hyped for the day.

Why You Should Make This Pink Smoothie Recipe

Beets are an amazing addition to power protein smoothies because they’re PACKED full of…

fiber protein antioxidants vitamin C potassium vitamin K folic acid omega-3 essential fatty acids manganese B vitamin folate (which helps reduce the risk of birth defects so I’m all about that right now)

See? Power and Goodness.  Thanks, pink power protein smoothie goodness.

The beet smoothie after being blended in the blender - showing how the color is hot pink. Mason jar filled with pink protein beet smoothie next to fresh strawberries and flaxseed meal.

And it’s so pretty!

There’s nothing like drinking in this vibrant, sweet, filling, and satisfying protein smoothie in the morning to get your day started off right.

If that’s your thing, I think this smoothie will definitely be your new best friend.

Substitutes For Protein Powder

While you don’t have to add protein powder if you don’t want to (without it, the smoothie has about 7 grams of protein), adding it will up the protein to make this a very well-balanced meal.  I like adding vanilla protein powder when I make it, but unflavored or strawberry flavor would work as well.

BUT some people don’t really like protein powder or find it doesn’t agree with them.  So here are some great healthy substitutes for protein powder that will also work in this pink protein beet smoothie recipe:

peanut butter almond butter cashew butter whole fat plain greek yogurt whole fat cottage cheese flaxseed meal chia seeds hemp seeds egg whites (pasteurized)

Hopefully, there’s an idea here that sounds good to you.  You can pick any of these up at Whole Foods Market 365!

Raw or Cooked Beets For Beet Berry Smoothie?

This Pink Power Protein Beet Smoothie recipe uses a raw beet, not a cooked one.  Not cooking beets is way easier than cooking beets – you’re skipping all those steps which makes this breakfast protein smoothie an even easier breakfast choice.  There isn’t any major difference, nutrients-wise, of eating raw beets versus cooked beets.  That being said, you can use either a raw or cooked beet and you’ll be fine.

Oshogatu (Japanese New Year) is the biggest celebration in Japan, and even the everyday food like Kamaboko gets a total make-over for this happy occasion!

Kamaboko (かまぼこ or 蒲鉾) is a Japanese fish cake, a type of cured surimi. It is made by forming various white fish paste steamed into semicylindrical log shape on a wooden block.

Kamaboko is usually sliced and served chilled or unheated, sometimes with some type of dipping sauces.  You can also find kamaboko in hot soups, rice dishes, and fried noodles.

Red (Pink)-skinned and white kamaboko are typically served at celebratory and holiday meals, as red and white are considered to bring good luck.  Kamaboko is flexible in texture so it is often cut into different decorative shapes and designs.

I’ll show you how to make seven beautiful kamaboko decorations, from easy to slightly difficult. Each design has special meaning that is appropriately auspicious for the New Year.

1. Checkered Pattern (Ichimatsu 市松)

The checkered pattern is the easiest and quickest to make.  All you need is both pink and white kamaboko fish cakes. Slice them in halves and stack together. No fancy skill is required!

Decorative Kamaboko Cutting - Matsuba 4

2. Pine Needle (Matsuba

Pine needle design gives a nice 3 dimensions even though the design may not be as obvious.  It’s a great fish cake design for your appetizer platter which doesn’t require any knife cutting skill.

Decorative Kamaboko Cutting - Knot (Musubi)

3. Knot (Musubi 結び)

The knot design is universal and it is very pretty to look at on a platter or as a garnish on top of the food.  The elasticity of the fish cake makes it possible to create this beautiful design.

Decorative Kamaboko Cutting - Reins (Tazuna)

4. Reins (Tazuna

This design focuses the patterns on top of Kamaboko.  If you are using a small platter with little room for 3 dimensional motifs, you can still upgrade your ordinary slice of fish cake into a pretty visual design on the top.

Decorative Kamaboko Cutting - Rose (Bara)

5. Rose (Kohaku Bara

Use red-skin and white kamaboko fish cakes for this rose design.  Girls would love this decorative design in their bento box!  Other happy occasions that you can use is for garnish on Chirashi Sushi on Girl’s Day (March 3 in Japan).

Decorative Kamaboko Cutting - Peacock (Kujaku)

6. Peacock (Kujaku

Peacock design is probably my favorite of all designs that I share here.  The red skin of the fish cake makes a perfect peacock’s eyespot.  This design requires some fine motor skill to cut the fish cake into thin slices, and the use of chopsticks to create the delicate shape (particularly useful if you have big fingers).

Decorative Kamaboko Cutting - Pine Tree (Matsu)

7. Pine Tree (Matsu 松)

This deign is the traditional Japanese pine tree pattern.  Slightly complicated to make, but the final result makes it truly special and unique.  I recommend watching the video for this design.
