Tips Menyelamatkan Kereta Daripada Rosak Ditenggelami Air Ketika Bencana Banjir

Sebelum tenggelam

1. Jika kenderaan anda tidak boleh dibawa ke tempat yang lebih tinggi dan ekzos kereta masih belum ditenggelami air, anda bolehlah menyumbat lubang ekzos tersebut dengan sesuatu yang padat dan kalis air. Sebagai contoh, menutupnya menggunakan plastik.

2. Cabut terminal bateri kereta kerana anda tidak tahu berapa lama kenderaan tersebut akan dibiarkan tanpa dihidupkan sementara menunggu banjir surut.

3. Selamatkan barang-barang penting terutamanya yang mudah rosak akibat terkena air. Kalau boleh, selamatkan semua barang yang boleh diselamatkan kerana banjir bukanlah air biasa tetapi air yang datang bersama lumpur.

Ketika tenggelam

4. Jangan hidupkan enjin kenderaan yang sedang ditenggelami banjir terutama sekali apabila air banjir sudah menutupi ekzos kenderaan dan bahagian enjin. Elakkan juga dari memandu meredah banjir. Ingat tu!

Selepas surut banjir

5. Selepas banjir surut, jangan terburu-buru hidupkan enjin! Inilah pantang besar jika kenderaan anda ditenggelami banjir besar, JANGAN HIDUPKAN ENJIN!

6. Hubungi lori tunda untuk menunda kereta ke bengkel yang dipercayai. Komponen utama seperti enjin dan transmission kemungkinan rosak. Boleh jadi rosak teruk atau sedikit. Walau bagaimanapun, enjin tidak perlu overhaul, hanya flush minyak enjin beberapa kali. Sekali lagi diingatkan jangan hidupkan enjin ketika banjir. Enjin akan mengalami kerosakan lebih parah!

7. Jika sistem transmisi jenis manual, maka prosesnya lebih kurang sama seperti enjin tadi. Flush minyaknya beberapa kali sampai tiada air di dalamnya. Ikuti nasihat mekanik. Mungkin perlu flush tiga hingga lima kali atau lebih.

Namun jikalau sistem transmisi jenis auto, anda mungkin mempunyai masalah besar. Kemungkinan perlu overhaul atau lebih teruk dari itu, ia tidak dapat diselamatkan lagi. Anda mungkin terpaksa tukar gear box baru dan lain-lain. Harap-harap tidaklah sampai macam tu 🙁

8. Sistem elektronik boleh diselamatkan jika bernasib baik. Namun harus menunggu dalam masa yang agak panjang untuk lihat kesannya.

9. Kusyen kereta seperti biasa akan berbau busuk dan kotor akibat lumpur. Anda tiada jalan lain selain mencucinya sendiri atau mengupah orang untuk mencucinya. Kadangkala pihak bengkel ada menawarkan khidmat mencuci kenderaan akibat banjir, namun kosnya agak mahal kerana mereka terpaksa membuka sarung kusyen kereta dan mencuci dengan teliti.

Selepas siap dicuci, tidak dijamin juga bau lumpur dan kotoran akan hilang dengan serta merta. Tapi lama kelamaan akan beransur baik. Semburlah Febreeze dan letak Ambi Pur banyak-banyak ye!

Mengenai kos pembaikan kereta, ia adalah subjektif kerana bergantung kepada keadaan enjin sama ada boleh dihidupkan atau tidak. Kos pembaikan akan menjadi tinggi jika komponen enjin banyak yang rosak.

Yang paling penting, pilihlah bengkel yang boleh dipercayai dan bukan jenis cekik darah!

Diharapkan mangsa banjir di utara negara termasuklah kawasan di Pulau Pinang, Kedah dan Perak tabah menghadapi musibah ini. Semoga urusan membantu dan menyelamat daripada pelbagai pihak dipermudahkan buat mangsa banjir.
